Revo Open House at Bobst Firenze

Open House days took place from the 29th of November till the 1st of December at the territory of BOBST Firenze, Florence manufactory within the framework of the World project REVO. The successful application of technology on the fully servo M6 LINE (670 mm) printing line for flexible packaging printing, and mechanical press M1 line for the production of self-adhesive labels was shown to numerous guests.
Visitors watched in real time the effectiveness of REVO: making of complex works using seven fixed colors and modern level of automation of DIGITAL FLEXO printing machines, which in changeover speed is rapidly approaching the digital printing, keeping all the advantages of classical flexo production.
Due to Revo technology the printing is possible up to 90% of the whole color scope, without of pre-mixing inks. During the presentation the copies were made including up to ten different Pantone colors. All of them have been reproduced with ΔE less than 2, to be precise, the maximum difference was ?E 1,76. This accuracy in color reproduction exceeds even the tolerances in manufacturing Pantone fan.
The production process is fully optimized: register and the pressure settings are made automatically, change of the runs is in the non-stop mode, the equipment is always ready to print as the anilox and ink do not require replacement and are always in the operating mode. The work of any "brand" colors leads to a truly revolutionary possibilities of the most effective use of working time of both equipment and a staff.

During the Open House days, experts of companies-participators made the reports, shared their experiences of REVO use in the working printing-houses and answered the questions. Thus, each visitor received information support and evaluated REVO possibilities in live mode.
