Bobst booth at К 2016 exhibition in Dusseldorf

More than 3000 exhibits from 50 countries of the world were presented at K 2016 exhibition. Swiss company BOBST has participated in it, which celebrated its 125th anniversary this year.  BOBST company is the world leader in manufacturing of equipment and services for packaging from drywall, cardboard, tape, flexible materials.

BOBST booth was devoted to the developments in the field of functional efficiency of plastic materials. The main goal of the manufacturers is to solve the problem how to achieve maximum performance and functionality of materials. Booth organizers paid special attention to these topics, as well as the identification of new properties of flexible materials and reducing of their production costs.

BOBST's experts, using a great experience, consulted clients about the selection of the most efficient equipment for processes such as vacuum coating and metallizing, laminating by extrusion method, specialized printing. Extrusion technology for the coating has being applied by the company for more than 50 years.

A new metallizer K5 EXPERT was announced at the exhibition, which was firstly shown at the Centre of Excellence Experience in Heywood of Manchester Unit of BOBST on October 18, 2016. The equipment makes it possible to take full advantage of AluBond® technology in metal adhesion. It is the most efficient vacuum metallizer in the world today. At the maximum capacity of up to 1200 m / min, it consumes less power, produces less waste of the tape than its predecessor, thus, BOBST engineers were able to reduce significantly the costs in production, to reduce the influence on the environment.

At BOBST booth it was possible to evaluate a high quality of product samples printed on flexographic presses of planetary type to work with UV inks, presses for gravure printing and BOBST laminating machines, which were presented at Drupa 2016 exhibition. It was an opportunity to get acquainted in detail with BOBST machines, manufactured using a unique Digital Flexo technology and equipment, using the REVO technology for printing in an expanded color range.

During the exhibition, the leading specialists on technologies of flexible materials showed to visitors of the booth maximum efficiency of products offered samples and high production performance of BOBST equipment, and also told in detail about the latest BOBST technologies in the field of coating and laminating by extrusion method, aluminum foil coating, application of hot thermo glue, applying the tape, labels and liners release, adhesive tapes, pre- and post metallization.
