BOBST clients are expanding their business fast

The new GIDUE M5 press for the label market was installed in Kazmelt printshop just three years ago. Soon after the event, director Mr. Erik Erkenov has started to explore new possibilities in other market niches. Eventually the decision to enter the market of flexible packaging and shrink sleeves was taken.

At the beginning of September 2015 the installation of 8 units mid-web flexo printing line М3 530 manufactured by BOBST Firenze (earlier the company had the name Gidue) was done. Undoubtedly, this move has made Kazmelt the leading printing house of Kazakhstan in flexo segment.

The new installation was made by BOBST Firenze specialists and VMG label service engineer.

The printing line will produce the wrap-around film labels and shrink sleeve labels, so the customer has chosen the mid-web size: 530 mm. Also the printing press is equipped by die-cutting units what allows to produce self-adhesive labels.

KazMelt is one of the leaders in the flexo market of Kazakhstan, it is equipped only by high-end sophisticated equipment for the label production, including two printing presses manufactured by BOBST Firenze (former Gidue) company.

The first printing press M5 370 was installed in 2012 and purposed for the label printing both on self-adhesive paper and on unsupported films. And now, three years later, the putting-into-operation of the second BOBST printing line has been done. The printing line allows to increase the production and to enter other segments.
